Heat Fall Once More to Bulls
February 15, 2008 - The Miami Heat fell to the Chicago Bulls Thursday night, handing them their ninth consecutive loss. The Bulls beat the Heat with a score of 99 - 92.
Bulls leader Kirk Hinrich led the team with 24 points while Joe Smith followed closely behind with 19 poitns and 11 rebounds. Other players Thabo Sefolosha closed out the game with 17 points and 12 rebounds and Tyrus Thomas ended with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Heat star player Dywane Wade added 30 points to the score as well 23 points from Shawn Marion, but still were unable to pull out a win.
Nuggets Edge Out Heat
February 15, 2008 - This past Tuesday night, the Denver Nuggets worked their way to a win after an exciting overtime game.
In a tough battle, the Nuggets beat the Miami Heat 114-113. J.R. Smith had a career high score consisting of eight 3-pointers and ending with 28 points. Kenyon Martin also scored high with 24 points.
Carmelo Anthony assisted in the win after scoring six of 22 points in overtime.
Unfortunately, Dwyane Wade, who scored a game-high of 29 points, missed a 22-foot shot at the buzzer to win the game.
Pat Riley Compares Players To Chicago Dynasty
February 15, 2008 - Miami Heat head coach, Pat Riley, riled up some Chicago Bulls fans within the past few days. According to several media souce outlets, Pat Riley said the Miami Heat's new tandem featuing players Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion were similar to the partnership of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
Clearly an excellent pair, fans are skeptical that the two can lead the team to one championship title as compared to six titles like the Chicago Bulls once achieved.
Dwyane Wade clarified to the media that he doesn't believe Riley was insinuating the two were as talented as Michael but popular enuogh to bring the same type of attention to the organization.
